Quarter Three
the five minute walk.
Project involved a weekend of photographing interesting things in a small area of surroundings. I took the photos during a blizzard and edited them in Photoshop. The background is a blurred selection from one of the images repeated to create a pattern.
Panograph.
The panograph project involved me taking almost fifty photos and re-assembling them into a larger photograph. This is a rusted water tank in Peabody, almost 20 feet tall. The photos were added into an empty document at low opacity and the pictures were organized so that the photos underneath matched those on top.
Picture in Picture.
Project involved finding an old, printed photograph and returning to the original location where it was taken, attempting to line it up with the background, and taking a photo of the original picture, a literal "picture in picture". Slight tune-ups were made to the picture, such as a sharpening layer to try and make it easier to see.
The second image was produced digitally with a picture of a frame and a picture of myself "exiting" the frame, using a drop shadow to create a 3D appearance. The image inside the frame was posterized to create the appearance that it was a painting.
